Two goals in three minutes by Robin van Persie and Abou Diaby seemed to have put the Gunners in comfortable charge by the 18th minute.

But Lee Bowyer pulled one back for the visitors on 38 minutes and the Blues went close to an equaliser before Andriy Arshavin made the match safe six minutes from time.
