Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1 Everton Highlights

Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1 Everton Highlights

Roman Pavlyuchenko cannot stop scoring, the Russian striker netted his fifth in a week, sliding in on a Defoe shot-cum cross after 11 minutes against Everton. Spurs’ second goal was one of realy quality, their three Croatians played keep ball down the right before Luka Modric saw his shot drift over Howard and go in off the bar.

Ten minutes into the second half, Aiyegbeni Yakubu pulled a goal back as the Tottenham defence, especially Gomes, failed to deal with a corner. Spurs held on as Everton dominated the second half and substitute Landon Donovan was guilty of a shocking miss that would have squared things up.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Everton Highlights epl

The first half of the Merseyside derby was more about the bad tackles and the furious tempo rather than actual goal mouth chances, with the main talking point concerning the sending off of Kyrgiakos in a filthy challenge with Fellaini that should have seen the Belgian dismissed too. Gerrard, after falling all to easily, went close with a free-kick while Cahill sent a point-blank header over the bar at the other end.

Nine minutes after the break the 10-men of Liverpool struck as Dirk Kuyt was left unchallenged in the six yard box to head in a corner. Everton were impotent after falling behind and a disappointing day for the Toffees ended when Pineaar collected his second yellow at the death.

Arsenal 2 - 2 Everton Highlights

Arsenal 2 - 2 Everton Highlights

In the only surviving 3pm kick-off in snowy England, Everton sprung a surprise early doors at Arsenal as Leon Osman headed home Landon Donovan’s first ever corner for the Toffees after 12 minutes. The Gunners continued to be off the pace after the goal, but after putting together an attack around the Everton box in the 26th minute, the returning Denilson saw his shot deflect off Osman and into the net.

A blizzard took over the Emirates after the break but it failed to break Everton’s stronghold on the match, and just over ten minutes from time the Toffees scored a brilliant and deserved second when Steven Pienaar broke the home offside on the halfway-line, raced 30-yards, and cheekily lifted the ball over Almunia. But Arsenal refused to be beaten, and in the 91st minute a typical attack saw Diaby provide the perfect pass for Tomas Rosicky, whose shot looped off defender Neill and over Howard.
