Manchester United 2 - 2 Sunderland Highlights

Steve Bruce’s Sunderland struck first at Old Trafford, Lee Cattermole fed a bread-and-butter ball into Darren Bent’s feet and, with O’Shea for company, the red-hot striker turned his man and struck a low shot into the near post. Early in the second half United levelled, the Black Cats failed to adequately clears their lines and O’Shea was able to swing a cross into the mixer where Dimitar Berbatov scored with a sublime scissor-kick. With most expecting United to go on to win the game, Sunderland took the lead again through Kenwyne Jones who headed home a Reid cross, beating Foster in the air. In injury-time, with Sunderland down to ten men after Richardson had received two yellow cards, Anton Ferdinand deflected in an Evra shot to deny the Mackems a famous victory.

Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur Highlights

Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur Highlights

Sunderland midfielder Teemu Tainio will miss out on a reunion with former club Tottenham as he battles against a knee injury.

The Finn sat out Tuesday night's 2-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at Liverpool with the problem, which he suffered at Arsenal on February 21.

Manager Ricky Sbragia otherwise has no fresh fitness concerns as Nyron Nosworthy continues his recovery from a hamstring tear.

Sbragia has warned the Premier League's big spenders that Sunderland does not exist to breed good players for them.

The Black Cats had to fight off Tottenham's concerted efforts to lure striker Kenwyne Jones from the Stadium of Light during the January transfer window, eventually turning down an offer which amounted to nearly £15million.

Sbragia was critical of Spurs' methods as they tried to prise Jones, who the Wearsiders signed from Southampton for £6million during the summer of 2007, from their grasp.
