Newcastle will welcome back Kevin Nolan from suspension for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Arsenal.

The midfielder has missed the last three games after being sent off for a horror challenge on Everton striker Victor Anichebe.

Full-back Habib Beye is also available for the first time since damaging ankle ligaments at Wigan on Boxing Day, although midfielder Danny Guthrie (hamstring) is not yet ready to return.

Joey Barton (fractured metatarsal) is targeting the end of next month for his comeback, but Mark Viduka and Ignacio Gonzalez (both Achilles) and Xisco (fractured toe) remain on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Chris Hughton is determined to hand the reins back to Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear with a recovery already well under way.

Kinnear confirmed on Friday that he hopes to be back at the helm at St James' Park in time for Tottenham's visit on April 18 as he continues his recuperation from heart surgery.

Tottenham have moved to warn off potential interest from Liverpool in Aaron Lennon by agreeing a deal with the winger to keep him at White Hart Lane until 2014.

Lennon, whose recent form has seen him tipped for an England recall, was already on a long-term contract but was not thought to be one of the top earners in Harry Redknapp's squad.

The 21-year-old was suggested as a possible makeweight in the transfer that took Robbie Keane back to Spurs and has been linked with Liverpool since - but he has now agreed a two-year extension.

Clint Dempsey is a doubt for Fulham's Barclays Premier League clash with title favourites Manchester United.

The in-form American winger has had a bout of food poisoning but will be given until the last minute to declare his availability.

Other than that Fulham are relatively untroubled by injury, with only centre-half Aaron Hughes ruled out with a rib problem.

Roy Hodgson is more concerned about the prospect of rewarding Fulham's long-time fans with victory over United than about having an impact on the title race.

Someone needs to score when Manchester United face Inter Milan on Wednesday and although Jose Mourinho claims Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the world's best striker, he must be secretly envious of Alex Ferguson's riches.

The teams drew 0-0 in the first leg, United dominating the match but missing a few tempting chances, and the Champions League last-16 tie is finely balanced heading to Old Trafford.

Ferguson rested Cristiano Ronaldo and Dimitar Berbatov for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final win at Fulham and Carlos Tevez grabbed his opportunity with two goals in another energetic display as United cruised to a 4-0 win.

The Argentine striker would be the first name on the team sheet for most clubs and has managed 12 goals for United this season.

However, he is likely to start on the bench for the holders with Berbatov partnering Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo offering danger from out wide.

Arsene Wenger well not send his Arsenal team out to defend their narrow advantage against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.

The Gunners are 1-0 ahead from the first leg of their last-16 tie, on the back on an unbeaten 17-match run in all competitions.

Sunday's 3-0 victory over Burnley in the FA Cup fifth round - which set up a potential semi-final date with Chelsea at Wembley next month - was a 10th clean sheet from the last 14 games as the Gunners once again displayed their renewed defensive security.

Defender Kolo Toure has recovered from a calf problem and jetted out with the rest of squad, as Wenger reported no fresh injury concerns from the weekend - although Russian Andrei Arshavin is cup-tied.

That could mean both Theo Walcott and Eduardo - who netted a brilliant volley against Burnley - are in contention to face the Italians.

While a strong defensive display would secure safe passage into the last eight, Wenger maintained on the club's official website: "I do not think that is the way to behave going into a game like this as it is too dangerous.

Liverpool produced a magnificent performance to reach the Champions League quarter-finals with a 5-0 aggregate defeat of Real Madrid.

In a remarkable first half, Real Madrid were torn to shreds by a breathtaking attacking display led by Fernando Torres, their arch-enemy from his Atletico Madrid days.

Torres scored early on, before Steven Gerrard fired home from the spot.

And had it not been for an outstanding display from Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas, Liverpool would have had a hatful in that first 45 minutes alone.

Gerrard scored a spectacular third seconds after the break to deflate Madrid further and substitute Andrea Dossena added a fourth with three minutes to go.

Gerrard struck twice on his 100th European appearance for Liverpool to secure a quite breathtaking victory, Real were humbled for the second time in a fortnight by their old boy Rafael Benitez.

Chelsea fought back twice to overcome 10-man Juventus and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

The Blues went into the last-16 return leg with a one-goal advantage but that was soon wiped out by Vincenzo Iaquinta's 19th-minute strike.

But the visitors levelled moments after referee Alberto Undiano had ruled that a free-kick by Didier Drogba had not crossed the goal line in the 44th minute.

The debate became academic in first-half stoppage time as Frank Lampard's shot came down off the underside of the bar for Michael Essien to bundle home.

But Juventus restored their lead on the night when Undiano awarded the Italian side a 74th-minute penalty for handball by Juliano Belletti.

However, Chelsea battled back for a second time when Drogba prodded home a cross from Belletti in the 83rd minute to give the Blues a 3-2 aggregate win.
